‘The Odyssey’ Sails Home With Another 87 Million For Second Domestic Outing

Nolan continues to reign supreme over the box office with The Odyssey. The film brought in 87 million for its second week stateside as the film continues rapidly approaching its next box office record. This weekend also marked The Odyssey crossing the 600 million mark internationally, making this one of Nolan’s best performing films in such a short period of time. Moana trailed behind in second with only 10.5 million for its third weekend outing. Toy Story 5 celebrates joining the billion dollar club this weekend, as after six weeks and 10 million for this weekend it finally crossed the finish line while taking a third place finish.

Minions & Monsters brought home 9.6 million for its fourth place finished after 4 weeks. Hadestown the musical shot professionally and released in theaters this weekend took fifth place and ties with Minions & Monsters with 9.6 million.

Sixth place went to Evil Dead Burns with 2.6 million in a massive drop between the lower five with only 3 weeks in theaters. The Invite took seventh place with 2.6 million after 5 weeks, beating out Young Washington with one point nine million in it’s fourth week. Newcomer Motor City opens to 1.6 million and ninth place, beating Obsession which still sits in the top ten after eleven weeks with 1.5 million.
