The Nun, the newest film in the horrifying The Conjuring franchise, has been reeling in audiences from around the world in huge herds since its release three weeks ago. In it’s third weekend alone, the film has made $35.5 million in international ticket sales, once again topping international box office markets.
The film dives into the backstory behind both of The Conjuring films and is filled with jump scares and terrifying demons that keep audiences on the edge of their seats until the very last seconds.
The total sum for the film’s overseas earnings comes to $191.7 million, and, combined with domestic box office sales, the amount of money made from this film in the first three weeks of release comes to a hefty $292.6 million.
Because of the massive earnings for the film, it is officially the highest-grossing film in the Conjuring franchise, and it also marks the largest box office hit in 26 territories for Warner Bros.
Other notable films making marks in the box office this week include Universal‘s Johnny English Strikes Again with $17.2 million, and The House with Clock in its Walls with $26.8 million domestically.
