‘The Lego Ninjago Movie’ Receives New Comic-Con Trailer

The Lego movies have been huge hits beginning with the appropriately named The Lego Movie holding a 96% on Rotten Tomatoes. The newest of the bunch, The Lego Ninjago Movie, received another trailer for Comic-Con, showing us the common quirkiness and comedy that these films have given us in the past.

The Lego Ninjago Movie follows the story of 6 young ninjas who must fight against the evil Garmadon, the Worst Guy Ever. The film will focus on the connection between Garmadon and the green ninja, Lloyd, who are father and son.

The main character, Lloyd, is played by Dave Franco (Now You See Me, Nerve), and Garmadon is played by Justin Theroux (The Girl on the Train, Megamind). The star-studded supporting cast includes Olivia Munn (X-Men: Apocalypse, Office Christmas Party), Kumail Nanjiani (The Big Sick, Central Intelligence), Jackie Chan (Rush Hour, Shanghai Noon)Michael Peña (The Martian, End of Watch), Zach Woods (Ghostbusters (2016), The Other Guys), Fred Armisen (Anchorman, Easy A), and Abbi Jacobson (Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, TV’s Broad City).

The film is directed by Charlie Bean, Paul Fisher, and Bob Logan, with a screenplay by Hilary Winston, William Wheeler, Tom Wheeler, Jared Stern, and John Whittington. The film will be swinging into theaters September 22.
