‘The Incredibles 2’ Drops New Trailer

Diehard Disney-Pixar fans are finally getting some answers about the sequel to the 2004 animated classic The Incredibles. A new trailer for the sequel, The Incredibles 2, has dropped. The film, like its predecessor, features Brad Bird (who also pulls double duty, having lent his pipes to the character, Edna Mode) in the director’s chair. Considering the trailer’s awesome content, we have high hopes for the movie after what we have seen.

From what we can glean from the trailer, Elastigirl (Holly Hunter) is the new “breadwinner” of the household and Mr. Incredible (Craig T. Nelson) is the one watching the kids and taking care of the chores. Clearly, he is much less “incredible” at taking care of the kids, especially the wild and energetic Jack-Jack. We see him struggle to keep up with all that his wife has been doing for years while she goes out and shows the world just what a superwoman can do.

The trailer is filled with family-friendly and relatable humor from start to finish. Dash, of course, doesn’t want to eat his vegetables; Violet (Sarah Vowell) is experiencing the swings of puberty, or as Dash calls it “going through adolescence,”); and Jack-Jack’s new powers are too much for even a superhero to handle.

It all looks like mostly fun and games until we near the end the and the newest super villain, the so-called “Screen Slayer,” makes their debut. They “interrupt this program for an important announcement” and it seems that they are using their power to control the watchers in some way.

We are so excited to see this film come out. It is a long-awaited story, but the hiatus is almost over. The film is set to reach theaters on June 15th, 2018.
