The Golden Globe Awards celebrate an array of movies, television, actors, actresses, and other creatives. It is already time to prepare for the 2026 awards, and the first step is to set a date for the show. The organization has set the 2026 Golden Globes for Sunday, January 11, 2026, at the Beverly Hilton.

The 83rd Golden Globes will air live on CBS and Paramount+. Just like the 2025 awards, Nikki Glaser will return as the host. In regards to the show, Deadline said “Dick Clark Productions plans, hosts and produces the Globes, which last year averaged 9.3 million Live+Same Day viewers, slight dip from 2024 but widely seen as a successful show especially due to Glaser, who was quickly asked back to host again as part of a new deal that includes a pay hike.” Variety found that Glaser is excited to host again and had a great time at the previous ceremony.

A date was also set for the nominees list to drop on December 8, along with a full timeline for the awards. The Golden Globes mark the beginning of award season. It gathers television and film together, unlike other shows that separate them. The Oscars will follow about two months behind the Globes on March 15. There tends to be overlap between the Oscars and the Golden Globes, so the latter is a good way to get acquainted with nominees.
