The First Trailer is Here for ‘Avengers: Infinity War’

The first official trailer for Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War dropped this morning on Good Morning America. The highlights include new look for Captain America, the first appearances by the Guardians of the Galaxy and Black Panther, and Thanos (Josh Brolin) in all his glory with the infinity stones.

The official synopsis for the film is as follows: “As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.”

According to the footage, the actors and their superhero counterparts that will be making an appearance are Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Chadwick Boseman, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Elizabeth Olsen, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Holland, Mark Ruffalo, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Paul Bettany, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Danai Gurira.

Joe and Anthony Russo directed the film based on a script by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.

Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on May 4, 2018. See the trailer below.
