Patton Oswalt (Ratatouille, Goat) showcased a trailer for the film The End of Oak Street at the Warner Bros. Studios’ Cinemacon in Las Vegas. The trailer is not available to the public but focuses on how dinosaurs impact Oak Street. The film stars Anne Hathaway (Devil Wears Prada, The Princess Diaries), Christian Convery (Frankenstein, Cocaine Bear), Ewan McGregor (Obi-Wan Kenobi, Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace), and Maisy Stella (My Old Ass, Poetic License).
Oswalt joked while he was on stage,
The horror of being trapped in an attic with Anne Hathaway. Sign me up.
From the trailer, Convery asks, “Is this the end of the world?” Hathaway’s character warns the youngsters, “Grab anything you can use as a weapon. We’re gonna get out of here.” McGregor contributes, “God’s not gonna let us die here.” After the warning from her parents, Stella’s character asks, “What about the people who are out here getting eaten?”
The End of Oak Street focuses on a suburban family that comes face to face with their street that has been transported to a peculiar location. A teaser released three weeks ago by the studio hinted at the dinosaurs. Hathaway’s hollow voice suggests in the first trailer that establishes the events, “I think our house, our neighborhood, our whole street has moved.” The writer and director for the film of David Robert Mitchell (It Follows, Under the Silver Lake). He will produce with Matt Jackson (The Killer, Mafia Spies), J.J Abrams (Star Trek, Star Wars: The Force Awakens), Tommy Harper (Spiderhead, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice), and Hannah Minghella (The Blue Angels, Lou).
