A new clip has been released for the upcoming film The Electric State. The movie is coming to Netflix from longtime directing duo Joe and Anthony Russo.
The Electric State sees a young girl in an alternate past trying to locate her brother. Along the way, she encounters several eccentric characters, also affected by their strange setting, going in a similar direction.
Millie Bobby Brown leads the cast, along with Chris Pratt and the voice of Woody Harrelson. Joining them in the all-star supporting cast are Ke Huy Quan, Giancarlo Esposito, Stanley Tucci, Anthony Mackie, Brian Cox, and Jenny Slate.
The clip itself, which will be linked below, gives viewers a taste of the world in which the film takes place, ravaged by an ongoing conflict between man and machine.
Also showcased is the bond that Chris Pratt’s character shares with several of his befriended robots. Several lines are given that allude to their meeting as rivals, but the group came to trust each other over the years despite their adversity.
Deadline notes that after The Electric State, the Russo Brothers will be heading back to the franchise that some of their most well-regarded films come from.
The duo will be directing Avengers: Doomsday, the next big Marvel project to assemble all their heroes. Within the Infinity Saga of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Russo’s directed some of the most successful installments, such as Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Civil War, as well as both Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
The Electric State hits Netflix on March 14th.
