The new trailer for The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected) has just come out. Well-respected at Cannes and the New York Film Festival, the movie has already received much acclaim from critics.
Noah Baumbach wrote and directed the movie, which focuses on the Meyerowitz family. While they are all complex characters struggling with their relationships to each other, the impetus driving the conflict will be their father, a creative man.
The film boasts an impressive cast, containing well-know names like Emma Thompson (Sense and Sensibility), Dustin Hoffman (The Graduate), Ben Stiller (The Secret Life of Walter Mitty), Adam Sandler (The Wedding Singer), and Sigourney Weaver (Alien). Sandler in particular has been lauded for his central performance in the film, though the other big actors have also been praised for their parts as well.
The film’s ensemble cast is extremely extensive. Other members include Adam David Thompson (A Walk Among the Tombstones), Grace Van Patten (The Wild Wedding), Elizabeth Marvel (True Grit), Danny Flaherty (King Jack), Rebecca Miller (Personal Velocity), and Ronald Peet (The Surf Report).
