Taran Killam Joins Kevin Hart Comedy ‘Night School’

Taran Killam, known for his role as King George III in the Broadway musical Hamilton and his six seasons of Saturday Night Live, has officially joined the cast of Night School, new comedy written by Kevin Hart (Ride Along, Central Intelligence).

Night School follows the story of a group of random ne’er-do-wells who have never graduated high school. They all must attend night school in order to pass the GED and finish high school. Knowing Hart’s humor, the film will most likely feature at least a decent, entertaining script.

Night School will also feature breakout star Tiffany Haddish (Girls Trip, Meet the Spartans) and Yvonne Orji (Insecure, 30 Days Notice). As we get more information, the cast should continue to increase. The film is currently being directed by Malcolm D. Lee (The Best Man, Undercover Brother). Production for the film should begin sometime at the end of September in Atlanta. The current release date for the film is September 28, 2018.

Killam will be playing the principal of the school named Stewart, and will be making his directorial debut later this year on October 20th, with the release of Killing Gunther, an action comedy which he also wrote and will be starring in alongside Arnold Schwarzeneggar, Cobie Smulders, and Bobby Moynihan.
