‘Supergirl’ Milly Alcock Doesn’t Need Any Help

Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-el/Supergirl in 'Supergirl' (2026)

Milly Alcock breaks into the DCU with her upcoming portrayal of Kara Zor-El, the original Supergirl. In the most recent roles of her career, Alcock has started to turn the heads of many individuals in the industry and has inherently gaining her some immense traction. In a recent interview with Deadline, Alcock was asked if she planned on reaching out to the previous Supergirl’s, Melissa Benoist and Sasha Calle, to get their angle on portraying the Girl of Steel.

The actress was quick to address her opposition to the narrative of asking her peers for advice. She stated that,

They’re just people living their lives, it’s not like we have this blood bond.

The actress recently co-starred in Netflix’s Sirens alongside Julianne Moore. Alcock made a note to share that she also steered away from asking any questions to her highly accredited costar, saying that “You have to respect that they don’t owe you that”. Alcock is not shy of the diehard fandom of the DCU. After her role in House of The Dragon, another franchise with an intense fandom, she feels well-prepared to take on one of the DCU.

Supergirl premieres June 26th in theaters, with the latest trailer dropped this past week.
