Suki Waterhouse Joins Keira Knightley in ‘Misbehaviour’

English model and actress Suki Waterhouse (Assassination Nation, Jonathan) has recently joined the cast of the upcoming film Misbehaviour. Deadline first covered the news. The comedy-drama film is directed by Philippa Lowthorpe and written by Gaby Chiappe and Rebecca Frayn.

Waterhouse will portray Sandra Wolsfeld, aka Miss USA, as the film will revolve around the events of the 1970 Miss World competition in London. It will delve into the actions of the Women’s Liberation Movement as they actively protested the event, attempting to stop the competition from being televised and disrupting host Bob Hope, to be played by Greg Kinnear, as well as the other contestants. Also it shall show the storm of controversy that came following the results of the competition with Miss Grenada taking first place and becoming the first Black Miss World.

Alongside Kinnear and Waterhouse will star Keira Knightley (in the lead role), Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Jessie Buckley, Lesley Manville, Keeley Hawes, Rhys Ifans and Phyllis Logan. The project began filming in November of last year and there is not yet an anticipated release date.

Robert Thornson Jr.: My name is Robert and I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of California Irvine. I am pursuing a B.A. in Film and Media studies with hopes to work in the creative industry. I have always had a passion for storytelling and since youth I've loved film. I grew up loving the movies of directors like Wes Anderson, Stanley Kubrick, Alfred Hitchcock, Martin Scorsese, David Fincher, and many more along with writers such as Aaron Sorkin and Quentin Tarantino. One thing I have always done is write about movies and communicate to others information about the "film community" and the industry as well as about the films themselves. I write creatively on a daily basis.
