Stuntman Johnny Knoxville Shows His Drama Chops In ‘Sweet Dreams’ Trailer

With his most recent successes in Hollywood being related to pranks on his friends in Jackass Forever, Johnny Knoxville will now be switching his focus to acting in his latest project.

The feel-good comedy-drama Sweet Dreams will star Knoxville and other comedians as rehab attendants trying to get past their own addictions and inner turmoil with each other through community baseball. But when their shared house is put up for auction, Knoxville must coach the group to come together and join a community baseball league to win a tournament whose prize money will pay off the house.

A trailer for the film was recently released and shows that this Paramount film is focusing not only on the laughs from the stars’ interactions with one another but also on the growth these characters are trying to achieve to have stronger connections with their loved ones and love themselves.

Sweet Dreams also stars Bobby Lee (Magnum P.I. and Mad TV), Brian Van Holt (Joe vs. Carole), Jay Mohr (), Mohammed Amer (Black Adam), Anderson .Paak (Trolls World Tour and Grown-ish), Jonnie Park (Quiz Lady), Adam Faison (Hellraiser), American rapper Shakewell, Davionte ‘GaTA’ Ganter (Dave), Theo Von (This Past Week) and Kate Upton (The Other Woman).

The film is set to release in theaters on April 12, 2024.
