Jeremy Bulloch, the British actor who played Boba Fett in the original Star Wars trilogy, has died at the age of 75. Bulloch first appeared as Fett in The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Return of the Jedi (1983), as well as appearing in numerous British TV shows including the show Billy Bunter of Greyfriars School, and later starred in the soap opera The Newcomers.
Bulloch’s agent announced that he died on Thursday, December 17th due to ongoing health issues, including Parkinson’s disease, which he has been struggling with for many years. He stated that Bulloch, “…had a long and happy career spanning more than 45 years. He was devoted to his wife, three sons, and ten grandchildren and they will miss him terribly. We ask that their privacy be respected at this very difficult time”. Bulloch’s role of Boba Fett was reprised by the actor Daniel Logan in the 2002 movie Star Wars: Episode II — Attack of the Clones. After Bulloch’s death was announced, Logan wrote on Twitter: “I will never forget all you taught me and all the good times we had together. You will be forever remembered”.
According to Vulture, even after Bulloch wasn’t in the Star Wars films anymore, he never shined away from his role. He would often attend many Star Wars conventions over the years, and was loved by fans all over the world. Bulloch will be missed greatly.
