It’s no surprise that at the top of Fandango‘s 30 Most Anticipated Movies of 2017 is Star Wars Episode VIII. Since the credits rolled on The Force Awakens, fans all over the world have been itching to see where Episode VIII would take us. To be perfectly honest The Force Awakens did play it little safe, BUT it was necessary to reintroduce our favorite characters to a new batch of Star Wars fans. The beauty of a set-up type film is that it leaves us with several questions unanswered. Episode VIII could very well go in the same direction of Empire Strikes Back or blaze it’s own path in the Star Wars Universe. That’s up to the film’s writer and director, Rian Johnson (Looper). Will it be darker? Who is Rey exactly? We have a lot to look forward to in Episode VIII and that goes for the rest of the films that can be found on Fandango’s Top 30 list.

Those are the top ten, the remaining 20 can be found here. It’s worth mentioning that the list is jam-packed with superhero films and also includes Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok.
