‘Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi’ Set To Shoot In 2025

Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi will begin filming as soon as next year. The film is a prequel set before the events that took place in previous Star Wars movies. It is to be directed by James Mangold who has been nominated for two Academy Awards as both screenwriter in Logan and as producer for Ford v. Ferrari. The screenplay was co-written by Mangold and Beau Willimon.

Mangold is currently wrapping up production for his Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown starring Timothée Chalamet. According to World of Reel, once Mangold finishes that project, he will move on to Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi

Although this Star Wars project has not received an update in a while, the latest being in August for D23, this confirms that the movie is in development and moving quickly. At D23, Lucasfilm and Disney announced that three movies inside the Star Wars universe will be released within the next few years. This could mean Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi is coming soon.

One of the other films D23 announced has also been revealed this week titled New Jedi Order which will feature beloved character Rey.

Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi will be the first feature film since The Rise of Skywalker and seems to be coming after the highly anticipated The Mandalorian and Grogu. Things are moving fast in the Star Wars universe and we are excited to see where the franchise takes us next.
