‘Spider-Man’ Stays On Top Of The Box Office, Becomes Second Highest Grossing Third Week Of All Time With 70 Million

Despite an absolute slew of new films on the slate, Spider-Man: Brand New Day stayed king of the box office with a whopping 70 million in its third week in theaters. The film is rapidly approaching the billion dollar mark domestically alone, and will likely cross it before the month is over if audiences continue to flock for this comic book spectacle. In other news, The Odyssey took second place in its fifth week in theaters with 23.2 million, beating out newcomer End of Oak Street with 21 million in third.

The PAW Patrol Dino Movie took fourth with a whopping 20.5 million for its premier, beating its competition Katseye: Wild Hearts by a staggering 16 million lead. Katseye: Wild Hearts took fifth place with 4 million in its premiere.

Pro shoots of musicals have continued to do well at the specialty box office, with sixth place being taken by Six: the Musical Live with 3 million in its premiere. From Angel Studios, the Brink of War took home seventh place with 2.68 million, making it another solid venture for the small start up Christian Studio.

Toy Story 5 dropped down to eighth place with 2.3 million in its ninth week, edging out sophomore One Night Only which only brought in 2 million in its second week.

For another specialty box office entry, Vishwanath & Sons took home tenth place with 1.63 million for its opening week, only appearing in 350 theaters total.
