A picture of a new character for Ice Age: Boiling Point has been release. The picture comes from a post on X by Hollywood Handle. The picture shows a character that resembles a character from the previous films named Scrat. The character Scrat is a primitive version of a squirrel and is mostly shown trying to stuff a giant acorn for winter. In the previous films his burying of the acorn has been a the root of actual prehistoric disasters. In the new picture of the Ice Age: Boiling Point, the character shown has a darker look than Scrat and also has a deeper brow than Scrat, which has always had big round eyes. The character is also shown holding a giant acorn shaped object but the coloring is different compared to the brown acorn Scrat has been seen with.
The post gives the release window for the movie which is February 2027. No other information has been confirmed.
