‘Sonic The Hedgehog 3’ Arrives On Paramount+

On February 18th, Sonic The Hedgehog 3 became available for streaming on Paramount+ in Canada and the U.S. The Jeff Fowler-directed movie has a powerful cast, with Ben Schwartz as Sonic, Jim Carrey as Ivo Robotnik, Idris Elba as Knuckles, James Marsden as Tom, and Colleen O’Shaughnessey as Tails. In the adaptation of the Sega video game, Sonic and his team must go on a mission to defeat Shadow (Keanu Reeves) and save the world.

Sonic 3 opened at number one in North America when it came to theaters in December 2024. Making over $60 million on opening weekend and $473 million worldwide, this third Paramount film in the trilogy outperformed its predecessors. Both critics and audiences rated the film favorably, with an audience rating of 95% and critic rating of 85% on Rotten Tomatoes. The family film was described on RogerEbert.com as “way better than it has right to be.”

The first two Sonic films are currently available for streaming on Paramount+. International streaming dates for the third installment have not yet been announced, but Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is set for theatrical release on March 19, 2027.
