Set Photos of Mads Mikkelsen in Marvel’s ‘Doctor Strange’ Emerge

Just yesterday, images surfaced for Marvel’s currently filming Doctor Strange showcasing an in-costume Benedict Cumberbatch (portraying the titular superhero) sparring with Chiwetel Ejiofor‘s Baron Mordo on the streets of Manhattan. Today, more set photos for Marvel’s latest production – said to the be the most enigmatic (the word “psychedelic” has been thrown around) of the billions-earning franchise to date – revealing actor Mads Mikkelsen (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story).

Still under lock and key is exactly whom the Danish actor is actually portraying though it appears to be a villain of some sort. The ensemble cast for Doctor Strange for Scott Derrickson’s adaptation includes Rachel McAdams (Spotlight), Tilda Swinton (Trainwreck), Michael Stuhlbarg (Miles Ahead), Benedict Wong (The Martian), Amy Landecker (The Meddler) and Scott Adkins (Zero Dark Thirty). C. Robert Cargill (Sinster), Thomas Dean Donnelly (Sahara), Joshua Oppenheimer (A Sound of Thunder) and Jon Spaihts (Promethesis) are the credited screenwriters of the picture.
