See the First Trailer for Disney’s ‘A Wrinkle in Time’

Sweet dreams are made of Disney, Ava DuVernay, and A Wrinkle in Time!

Today, at Disney’s D23 expo in Anaheim, California, the first teaser for Ava DuVernay’s A Wrinkle in Time was released. Featuring performances (and a haunting voiceover) from Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, Chris Pine, Levi Miller, Andre Holland, Bellamy Young (TV’s Scandal), and newcomer Storm Reid, the film’s first footage is a spectacle to behold.

Set to a slowed-down cover of The Eurythmics’ “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)”, A Wrinkle in Time‘s teaser dives audiences into the magical world of the film. The story will follow Meg Murry (Reid) as she crosses the dimensions of time and space to find her lost inventor father (Pine). Along the way she meets several kooky characters that help or deter her on her journey to reunite her family. The visual results are mind-bending and beautiful.

Also in the film are actors Zach Galifianakis, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Rowan Blanchard, and Michael Pena. Ava DuVernay (Selma) wrote and directed the film for Disney. A Wrinkle in Time hits theaters on March 9, 2018. See the teaser and new poster below.
