Sebastian Stan, announced as part of The Batman: Part II cast about a year ago, has revealed who he’s playing in the Matt Reeves sequel. In a recent interview with the French magazine Le Journal du Dimanche, Stan discussed the role, saying, “I also can’t say anything about The Batman – Part II, by Matt Reeves, where I embody Harvey Dent.” That was all Sebastian Stan had to say about the role, but it seems to confirm that, after constant rumors, the actor is playing Harvey Dent/Two-Face in The Batman Part II.
If this news about Stan’s role is true, then the actor will be the fourth actor to portray the role of Harvey Dent in a live-action film. Previous actors include Billy Dee Williams in Batman (1989), Tommy Lee Jones in Batman Forever (1995), and, most famously, Aaron Eckhart in The Dark Knight (2008).
Sebastian Stan’s role will be his second comic book movie role and his first in a DC Comics adaptation. Stan has previously played Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier in several MCU films, most recently in Thunderbolts*. Stan is also set to reprise the role in Avengers: Doomsday.
Whether he’s playing Harvey Dent/Two-Face or another role, Sebastian Stan joins The Batman Part II, which includes Robert Pattinson, Jeffrey Wright, Charles Dance, Colin Farrell, and Andy Serkis. Matt Reeves is directing The Batman Part II and also co-wrote the screenplay alongside Mattson Tomlin.
The Batman Part II is slated for release on February 18, 2028.
