Scarlett Johansson Joins Wes Anderson’s Upcoming Film

It looks like the two-time Academy Award nominee Scarlett Johansson is leaving Disney in the dust and found her next big project. After sending Hollywood into a tailspin with her Disney lawsuit, it’s only logical that Johansson finds her next film in writer-director Wes Anderson’s next feature, which by the way, has a fantastic cast already.

The title and premise of the film are still being kept under lock and key, but now the suspense can be added to what role Johansson will play in the upcoming film.

This upcoming film isn’t the only film that Johansson and Anderson have worked on together. In 2018, Johansson previously voiced the character of Nutmeg in Anderson’s stop-motion comedy adventure film Isle of Dogs. However, this will be her first appearance in one of Anderson’s films in front of the camera.

Bill Murray and Tilda Swinton, who are also set to appear in the latest untitled film, voiced characters in Anderson’s Isle of Dogs as well.

Johansson is the latest star to join the film, and just a few days earlier, Margot Robbie (James Gunn’s Suicide Squad) was announced to have joined the film.

Previously announced cast members include Tom Hanks (Greyhound), Adrien Brody (Peaky Blinders), Jason Schwartzman (Rushmore), Rupert Friend (Hitman), Swinton (Doctor Strange), and Murray (Ghostbusters).

Johansson can be seen in Disney and Marvel’s Black Widow, playing in theaters and on Disney Plus. Fans can also expect to see Johansson reprising her role as Ash in Illumination and Universal’s animated sequel Sing 2.

Production for Wes Anderson’s untitled film is currently happening in Spain.
