In an exclusive report from Deadline, it has been announced that American actress and producer Sandra Bullock will be working with Netflix on the upcoming sci-fi fantasy film Reborn. Bullock will act as producer with Vertigo Entertainment who produced movies like It and The Lego Movie.

Reborn will be an adaptation of a 2016 comic series of the same name by Mark Millar, known for creating comics such as Kick-Ass and Kingsman. It follows Bonnie Black, an eighty year old woman who upon dying finds herself alive again in Adystria, a magical world of the afterlife which is crowded with monsters, creatures, and an eternal war. Black finds those from her past life except for her husband, who she sets out to find.

This project will be Bullock’s second team up with Netflix following the extremely popular Bird Box. The film will be directed by Chris McKay, who directed The Lego Batman Movie and has worked on both The Lego Movie 1 and 2.

This isn’t the first Millar property that will see itself as television or film on Netflix, as the streaming giant acquired his publishing label, responsible a few years back. Little is known about Reborn at the moment, but this could be the start of a new load of popular Netflix original content as viewership grows.
