Samuel Goldwyn Films Will Distribute ‘Better Living Through Chemistry’

Samuel Goldwyn Films has acquired the distribution rights to Better Living Through Chemistry, starring Sam Rockwell (Seven Psychopaths, Iron Man 2) and Olivia Wilde (Cowboys and Aliens, The Change-Up), the co-directing debut for scribes David Posamentier and Geoff Moore, whose screenplay landed in the Number 13 spot on the 2010 Blacklist. Better Living Through Chemistry is a dark comedy about a ho-hum small town pharmacist who gets involved with a married customer (Wilde) who introduces him to the finer things in life – recreational prescription drugs. She isn’t only interested in him for the drug connection, though; she needs help killing her husband. Michelle Monaghan (Gone Baby Gone, Mission Impossible 111), Ray Liotta (Goodfellas, The Place Beyond The Pines), and Jane Fonda (Lee Daniel’s The Butler, Monster-In-Law) also star.

Felipe Marino and Joe Neurauter are producing with Mission Films and Occupant Entertainment. Better Living Through Chemistry is out March 14.
