Warner Brothers have pushed the upcoming Stephen King adaptation Salem’s Lot to next spring. It was originally intended for release September 2022, in line with the Halloween season. This news comes amid a time of other schedule shifts and delays. The film Last Train to New York , which redoes the crossover Korean zombie hit Train to Busan, has unfortunately been taken off of the schedule for the media giant. Alongside Last Train to New York on the chopping block is the remake of the 90s classic House Party which has also been taken off the board for Warners.
Seasoned horror writer Gary Dauberman, most known for writing the massively popular It films and at the helm for Annabelle Comes Home. He is directing Salem’s Lot alongside a cast that includes Lewis Pullman, Makenzie Leigh, Alfre Woodard, and John Benjamin Hickey. The film will probably follow the classic King story beat-for-beat, an Author comes back to his hometown to find people are being turned into vampires. Ultimately, time will tell what is to happen with this ill-fated adaptation.
