With Disney buying up 20th Century Fox, Marvel fans are anticipating the possible inclusion of famous Marvel characters previously owned by Fox. Most particularly, fans are curious to how a character like Deadpool will be included in the cinematic universe, mostly due to how much the character’s violent, forth wall breaking tone isn’t exactly common within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Actor Ryan Reynolds, however, recently made a post on social media that teases that Deadpool’s inclusion might become a reality sooner than we thought.
Auditioned for the role of “Anthony Stark”. Didn’t come even remotely close, but the nice man with the taser escorted me to the ground. pic.twitter.com/1bwFDGdMOj

Reynolds recently made a Twitter post showing him at Marvel Studios, where he mentioned auditioning for the role of Anthony Stark and later getting escorted by a “nice man with a taser”. Of course the comment was obviously sarcasm, considering how Reynolds’ sense of humor is very much in line with Deadpool’s. The actor didn’t go any further on what exact details went on during his meeting at Marvel Studios, but fans can definitely assumed that his version of Deadpool is still alive and well.
Disney CEO Bob Iger expressed that Deadpool will not change a whole lot and would still be a vital franchise to the Marvel brand, while X-Men and Fantastic Four will be rebooted under the guidance of Kevin Feige. How Deadpool character will be integrated into Marvel’s film universe is still more of a mystery. It’s unknown if the Merc with a Mouth will have cameo appearances in future Marvel films, his own Disney Plus show or even a full-on third Deadpool movie. However, with the rumors of Disney’s Marvel creating potential R-rated films like Blade, there’s still a chance Deadpool will not change too much at Disney, outside of him interacting with more popular Marvel characters as an extra bonus for fans. More material to riff on.
