Ross Butler (To All The Boys: Always and Forever), along with Marc Evan Jackson (The Good Place), joins the cast of Neil Tuli’s debut feature film, Arya. Written and directed by Tuli, Arya, portrayed by Sayani Gupta (Article 15), is about prestigious Indian piano teacher who goes to Minnesota to help a band program that is not doing well. According to Deadline, this is Gupta’s first United States feature film, as most of her filmography comes from the Indian entertainment industry.
The last feature Butler was in was a Tubi original film titled Worth the Wait, that came out last year. He has no confirmed projects to be released this year as of now. Jackson has had more recent projects released this year, including an appearance on The Hawk, a new Netflix comedy series created by Will Ferrell (Anchorman). He also lends his voice in the upcoming Laika Studios film Wildwood, which releases in late October of this year. Other actors confirmed for this movie are Adi Roy (Unaccustomed Earth), Kyra Leroux (Firefly Lane), Arjun Gupta (The Magicians), Sari Lennick (A Serious Man), Rita Wolf (My Beautiful Laundrette), and Iqbal Theba (Glee).
No release date has been confirmed for the movie.
