In a recent interview with LADbible, Robert Pattinson, most recently seen as Chris Hansen in Lance Oppenheim’s Primetime, explained why he thinks it would be “tough” for his version of Batman, seen in Matt Reeves’s The Batman and the upcoming The Batman Part II, to exist in James Gunn’s DCU and interact with characters like David Corenswet’s Superman. Here’s what Pattinson had to say:
“I think it would be kind of tough to have this version of Bruce outside of that world. It’s one of the only characters, I guess, because of the length of the shoot, but also it’s such a specific kind of [style]; the tone of it gets inside you. I remember that happened to me the last time I did it; it took a while. You’re just in the dark the whole time. Both mood-wise and light-wise, I can’t see anything for like months. It does affect you; like, you feel strange afterward.”
Pattinson is set to reprise the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman in The Batman Part Two, a film the actor previously described as “radical re-telling” in an interview with MyMovies and a “real left-turn from the first movie” in an interview with Collider.
Pattinson can be seen in Primetime, which is currently in theaters. The Batman: Part II is set to be released in theaters on February 18th, 2028.
