Woodstock Film Festival, running from September 27th through October 1st, has just added a new film to its roster. Tony Goldwyn’s Ezra is now set to screen as a part of its lineup.
Ezra follows the story of Max, a stand-up comedian living with his father after his marriage and career fall to pieces. When his autistic son, Ezra, is expelled from another school, Max brings him on an unorthodox road trip.
The film stars Bobby Cannavale as Max, and Robert De Niro plays his father. The cast includes Rose Byrne, Vera Farmiga, Whoopi Goldberg, and Rainn Wilson.
“I am so excited that the Woodstock Film Festival chose to screen Ezra,” Goldwyn himself had to say. “Woodstock is one of the coolest festivals in the country for a filmmaker. After such an enthusiastic reception at TIFF last week, I can’t wait to share this deeply personal film with another group of passionate film buffs.”
The festival will launch with Chloe Domont’s Fair Play, an erotic thriller about a power-hungry couple. After it debuted at Sundance, the film was acquired by Netflix for $20 million. Other features in the lineup include I Am What You Imagine, The Kill Room, and The New Boy, among many narrative and documentary works.
