Rian Johnson’s T-Street Banner To Team Up With Warner Bros.

Rian Johnson’s T-Street banner which is run alongside producing partner Ram Bergman, is teaming up with Warner Bros. T-Street and Warner Bros. have established a two-film production deal. This comes after a wave of production deals Warner Bros. has made with actors and filmmakers.

The Hollywood Reporter stated, “As a director, Johnson is known for mind-bending features like Looper, big budget genre entry Star Wars: The Last Jedi and original who dunnit film series Knives Out, which has included sequel Glass Onion and an upcoming third installment, which is aiming to film later this year for Netflix. Johnson and Bergman’s work together dates back to Johnson’s directorial debut, Brick, which put the filmmaker on the map as a rising talent in 2005.”

T-Street is the producer of recent films such as Fair Play and American Fiction, the latter of which was nominated for Best Picture and won for Best Adapted Screenplay at this year’s Oscars. As for TV, T-Street has produced the upcoming Netflix show, 3-Body Problem and Peacock’s Poker Face.

Johnson and Bergman stated, “Mike and Pam’s renewed commitment to original storytelling and the theatrical experience make Warner Bros. Discovery an ideal place to help us bring the filmmakers we love to audiences around the world on a grand scale…We’re thrilled to have them as partners.”

Given the talent Warner Bros. is acquiring, it will be exciting to see the trajectory of the company in the future.

Hannah Mitchell: Hi All! My name is Hannah Mitchell, I just graduated from the University of Missouri-St. Louis with a major in English. I am very excited to start writing for Mxdwn! I have been passionate about film and storytelling from a young age. My favorite movie of all time is Stand by Me. My favorite TV Show is Succession (a bit basic, I know). But I also love British TV and film and some of my favorite shows from across the pond are Crashing and Misfits. I actually met Jonathan Bailey in London which was incredibly exciting. Anyways, I'm ready to write for this site and am optimistic about my future here!
