A release date of September 8th has been set for Open Road’s new rom-com Home Again starring Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon (Sing). Hallie Meyers-Shyer makes her directorial debut, helming from her own screenplay.
The story centers on a newly single mom in L.A. (Witherspoon) who allows three young guys (Pico Alexander, Nat Wolff and Jon Rudnitsky) to move in with her, leading to unexpected events. Michael Sheen (Passengers), Candice Bergen (Rules Don’t Apply) and Lake Bell (The Secret Life of Pets) are also in the cast.
The director’s mother, Nancy Meyers (known for such classics as The Parent Trap remake, Father of the Bride, Something’s Gotta Give, etc.) , is producing alongside Black Bicycle Entertainment’s Erika Olde.
Home Again will compete on opening day with horror movie It from Warner Bros.
