Release Date of ‘No Time To Die’ Pushed Back to 2021

James Bond’s No Time To Die, the latest installment has been postponed until next year, announced by filmmakers on Friday. The film is officially heading for April 2, 2021, release date.

No Time To Die was supposed to premiere in the U.K. on November 12 and in North America on Nov.20. It is not entirely surprising that postponing the film into next year has occurred since the two biggest U.S. markets New York and Los Angeles, are still closed, and coronavirus cases in Europe have begun to rise again.

It would be interesting to know that No Time To Die new release date now puts the film on the same weekend with Universal’s F9. It looks like No Time To Die stands to make $1 billion worldwide, so it would make sense that the film is being postponed, and given that this film will be Daniel Craig’s last time playing the role formally known as 007 would be essential to the film’s success.

“MGM, Universal and Bond producers, Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, today announced the release of No Time To Die, the 25th film in the James Bond series, will be delayed until April 2 in order to be seen by a worldwide theatrical audience. We understand the delay will be disappointing to our fans, but we now look forward to sharing ‘No Time To Die’ next year,” the filmmakers said in a statement about the delay of film.

Cary Joji Fukunaga directed No Time To Die with Rami Malek set as Bond’s adversary Safin, Lea Seydoux returning as Bond’s love interest, and Lashana Lynch playing a new ’00 agent. The cast also includes Ana de Armas, Ben Whishaw, and Christoph Waltz.
