According to Variety, Reese Witherspoon (Wild) is in talks to star in Home Again, a new indie film from writer-director Hallie Meyers-Shyer.
The story centers on a newly single mom in L.A. who allows three young men to move in with her, leading to unexpected events. Meyers is producing along with Black Bicycle Entertainment’s Erika Olde, who is also financing the movie.
Witherspoon, a Best Actress Oscar winner for 2006’s Walk the Line, has been busy not just in front of the camera but also in producing feature films (including Wild – which earned two Oscar noms including one for her lead performance, and Gone Girl – which earned star Rosamund Pike an Oscar nod). She produces and stars in the HBO limited series Big Little Lies, which also stars fellow Best Actress Oscar winner, Nicole Kidman (Secret in Their Eyes) and is expected to be released next year on HBO.
Production on Home Again is expected to begin this fall.
