Paul Feig’s ‘The School For Good and Evil’ Adaptation Adds Sofia Wylie and Sophia Anne Caruso in Lead Roles

Paul Feig, the director behind movies like Last Christmas, A Simple Favor, and Bridesmaids, will direct Netflix’s The School For Good and Evil. Feig has cast Sofia Wylie (High School Musical: The Musical – The Series) and Sophia Anne Caruso (The Sound of Music Live!) will be in the film, an adaptation of the bestselling novel by Soman Chainani.

The follows best friends Sophie (Caruso) and Agatha (Wylie), who are destined to live out their fairytale ending, must go to school to learn if they are good or evil. Through her princess dreams, Sophie knows in her heart that she is meant to go to the School of Good and join the ranks of former students like Cinderella, Rapunzel, and Snow White. Meanwhile, Agatha, with her dull black hair and a wicked black cat, would be a perfect fit for the School for Evil. The two girls soon learn that their fortunes reversed, and now Sophie is at the School for Evil to take on Uglification, Death Curses, and Henchmen Training, while Agatha finds herself in the School for Good thrust among handsome princes in classes of Princess Etiquette and Animal Communication. The girls must ask themselves, what if the mistake is the first clue to learn who Sophie and Agatha actually are?

The series has six books, the first book being The School For Good and Evil, which has sold over 2.5 million copies and translated into 30 languages across six continents.
