Patrick Wilson Boards ‘The Commuter’

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Patrick Wilson (The Conjuring 2) has joined the cast of The Commuter, an action thriller starring Liam Neeson (Taken franchise). The film reunites Wilson with his Conjuring 2 co-star Vera Farmiga and also re-teams director Jaume Collet-Serra with Neeson in their fourth outing together, following Unknown, Non-Stop and Run All Night. Sam Neill (Hunt for the Wilderpeople) and Elizabeth McGovern (TV’s Downton Abbey) are also in the cast.

Penned by Philip de Blasi and Byron Willinger, the story centers on an insurance salesman (Neeson) who on his daily commute is confronted by a stranger (Farmiga) and forced to uncover the identity of a passenger before the train’s last stop. Wilson will play Neeson’s trusted friend who provides necessary assistance.

Wilson reprised his role as paranormal investigator Ed Warren in this summer’s box-office success The Conjuring 2, which grossed over $318 million worldwide. He will be seen next in The Founder, a biopic which stars Michael Keaton (Spotlight) as Ray Kroc, the founder of McDonalds.

The Commuter is currently shooting in London and is scheduled to bow in theaters on October 13, 2017.
