

A Complete Unknown, the Oscar-nominated Bob Dylan biopic has a release date for streaming on Hulu, Variety reports.
Directed by James Mangold and starring Timothee Chalamet as Dylan, Edward Norton as Dylan’s mentor Pete Seeger, Elle Fanning as Sylvie Russo (based on Dylan’s girlfriend at the time, Suze Rotolo), Monica Barbaro as fellow musician Joan Baez, Dan Fogler as Dylan’s manager, Albert Grossman, and Scoot McNairy as Dylan’s idol, Woody Guthrie, the biopic follows Dylan in the early 1960s when he travels to New York City and causes controversy when he crosses the line between folk and electrical music.
Now, it has a release date on the Hulu streaming platform set for March 27th after a 92-day theatrical window.
The film was nominated for eight Oscars at this year’s Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director for Mangold, Best Actor for Chalamet, Best Supporting Actor for Norton, Best Supporting Actress for Barbaro, and Best Adapted Screenplay for Mangold and Jay Cocks, as well as Best Sound and Costume Design, and grossed $74 million domestically and $57 million internationally for a total of $132 million worldwide at the box office on a reported budget of around $60 Million.
A Complete Unknown was also a critical success with a Rotten Tomatoes Critic Score of 82% and a 95% Audience Score.
