According to a TreMedia Press Release, Mike Epps (Open Season 2, The Hangover) and Ice Cube (Straight Outta Compton, Boys n the Hood) will be reuniting at their one-night-only event Everyday’s Friday: Lyrics, Loungin’ and Laughing on Friday, July 17, at the Long Beach Amphitheater. The event celebrates the film Friday that has been around for more than 30 years. The franchise will also be expanding into a reboot.
Tickets go on sale on Friday, May 15, 2025 at 10am local time with promoter and vendor presale tickets being available the day before from 10am to 10pm local time. Fans have the chance of winning cash prizes if they come dressing like their favorite Friday character. The first place cash prize is $2,000 as the second place is $1,000 and third place will be receiving $500. Guest performances will be included from Scarface to Warren G. The event will begin at 7pm.
Epps has kind words to share about the franchise, “Every day for the last 30 years someone has told me how much they loved The Friday Franchise and how much the characters mean to them. To reunite with Cube and bring this one night only experience to the fans is incredible.”
Ice Cube added, “Friday has always been about and for the fans who made it a classic and kept it alive for nearly 30 years. To be able to step back out there with Mike Epps and bring that energy to the stage for a one-night-only experience in Long Beach is special. This show represents the beginning of the next chapter.”
Friday was created by Ice Cube and premiered in 1995. The film centers around Craig Jones and his friend Smokey attempting to pay off debt and remains comedic in 2026.
