Octavia Spencer and Jessica Chastain to Reunite After 7 Years for Holiday Film

The Help costars will be trying to make it home for Christmas in an all new holiday film with a similar Planes, Trains and Automobiles concept. Universal Pictures just announced the reunion of Jessica Chastain and Octavia Spencer after the two actresses have already shown a great awards season thus far with each of their films, The Shape of Water and Molly’s Game, both of which earned Golden Globe nominations.

The holiday film, which has yet to be titled, will be written by Peter Chiarelli who also wrote both The Proposal and Crazy, Rich Asians. Chastain is set to co-produce under her company, Freckle Films with Carmichael, Celine Rattray and Truder Styler also signed to produce.

Chastain will next be seen in Xavier Dolan’s The Death and Life of John F. Donovan as well as the X-Men spinoff Dark Phoenix. Spencer will next appear alongside Claire Danes and Jim Parsons in A Kid Like Jake.

More news on the upcoming holiday film as it is released.
