‘Obsession’ Director Curry Barker’s Next Horror Flick ‘Anything But Ghosts’ Gets Casting Update

Obsession director Curry Barker is already hard at work on his next picture. Focus Features & Blumhouse-Atomic Monster, the studios behind Obsession,  will distribute Anything But Ghosts. Deadline reports that Superstore and The Mindy Project actor Chris Reinacher has joined the cast.

Anything But Ghosts will also star Aaron Paul, Bryce Dallas Howard, Violet McGraw, and Cooper Tomlinson. Deadline describes the film synopsis as “two con artists posing as ghost hunters end up in a dangerous situation when they come face-to-face with an actual dark entity.”

Barker co-wrote the screenplay with collaborator and friend Cooper Tomlinson, who appears in Obsession and the upcoming Anything But Ghosts.

Obsession is currently in theaters and has become Focus Features’ highest-grossing movie domestically, raking in over $111 million at the box office. The supernatural horror film starring Inde Navarette and Michael Johnston holds an impressive 96% on Rotten Tomatoes. Barker is slated to next helmTexas Chainsaw Massacre reboot for A24.
