With production on the horizon for the hotly anticipated Nocturnal Animals, the cast has grown with the addition of Ellie Bamber. The Austin Wright book adaptation will be directed by A Single Man director Tom Ford.
Casting news out of this film has occupied the headlines for the past few months with big name actors joining the project, including Jake Gyllenhaal, Amy Adams, Armie Hammer, Kim Basinger, Michael Shannon and Aaron Taylor Johnson.
Bamber has only been in Hollywood for three years, with only one film (The Falling) and two TV series (A Mother’s Son, The Musketeers) on her short resume, but she has another major film on deck with another book adaptation, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Zombies stars Lena Headey (300: Rise of an Empire, TV’s Game of Thrones) and Lily James (Cinderella). It’s a parody of Jane Austen’s classic novel but with plot twist of zombies written by Seth Grahame-Smith. Both films are slated to be released next year.
Ford also wrote the script for the film, which will be his second feature film.
Filming on the Focus Features production will begin later this year.
