Noah Centineo, the star of this summer’s teen rom-coms, including Sierra Burgess is a Loser and To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, has been cast in a key role for Elizabeth Banks’ Charlie’s Angels reboot. Variety first reported the news.
The film already stars Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott (Power Rangers) and Ella Balinska (Hunted) as the titular Angels. Also in the cast is director Elizabeth Banks as one of the Bosleys, the other two being portrayed by Patrick Stewart and Djimon Hounsou. Rounding out the cast are Sam Claflin, Jonathan Tucker and Luis Geraldo Mendez.
The new film will be a strict reboot, focusing on a new generation of angels, still working for the mysterious Charlie. This time, the company has gone global and the women are now working for a bevy of high-profile international clients.
Centineo has had an incredible year thus far. Ending his turn as a family member of The Fosters Freeform television series, Centineo has starred in two major Netflix releases. He will soon be seen alongside Riverdale actress Camila Mendes in The Stand-in.
Charlie’s Angels hits theaters on Sept. 27, 2019.
