Ahead of Project Almanac’s January 30 release, Paramount Pictures has just started airing the following five television spots. The story follows a group of high school friends who discover the blueprints for a time machin.
The film is aiming for a realistic style, with its use of handheld cameras, going in stride with darker recent teen films like Project X or Chronicle. Dean Israelite is making his directorial debut with a cast that includes Jonny Weston (Chasing Mavericks), Sofia Black D’Elia (TV’s Skins), Sam Lerner (Monster House), Ginny Gardner (TV’s The Goldbergs), and Allen Evangelista (TV’s Secret Life of the American Teenager).
The first spot challenges us to “Choose Your Own Adventure,” appealing to multiple generations familiar with the popular literary device.
