A new trailer has been released for the upcoming remake of Silent Night, Deadly Night (2025). The trailer opens with voiceover narration similar to that heard in the trailer for the original 1984 film, reciting a variant of the iconic “Night before Christmas” poem. “Twas the night before Christmas, the house locked up tight. Yet a shadow approached in the dead of the night”, opens the voiceover narration. “With a glimmering axe, so lively and quick. I knew in a moment, it must be St. Nick.”

The rest of the trailer provides a glimpse at the film’s plot, which is described in the synopsis seen in the description of the trailer as follows:

“A twisted reimagining of the controversial classic – After witnessing his parents’ brutal murder on Christmas Eve, Billy transforms into a Killer Santa, delivering a yearly spree of calculated, chilling violence. This year, his blood-soaked mission collides with love, as a young woman challenges him to confront his darkness. “Have you been naughty?”

The remake is written and directed by Mike P. Nelson, who previously directed the 2021 remake of Wrong Turn and two segments of the horror anthology V/H/S/85 (2023). The film stars Rohan Campbell (Halloween Ends) and Ruby Modine (Happy Death Day).

The remake of Silent Night, Deadly Night will be released in theaters on December 12th by Cineverse. The trailer can be viewed below:
