New Trailer Released For ‘Argylle’ With Henry Cavill And Dua Lipa

The trailer for the upcoming spy film, Argylle, has just come out. The new trailer gives a look into Matthew Vaugn’s newest feature.

The film follows Elly Conway, played by Bryce Dallas Howard, who is a a spy fiction writer who prefers to spend her nights in her own home, accompanied by her cat, Alfie. But, once real life events start following how they go in her stories, her quiet evenings start to disappear.

As NME reports, an official synopsis reads: “accompanied by Aiden (Sam Rockwell), a cat-allergic spy, Elly (carrying Alfie in her backpack) races across the world to stay one step ahead of the killers as the line between Elly’s fictional world and her real one begins to blur.”

The film also stars Henry Cavill, as the main protagonist of the spy novels, and Dua Lipa opposite him. Also in the film is John Cena, Ariana DeBose, and Bryan Cranston, among others.

From the trailer, it’s shown that the story bounces back and forth between Conway’s story as she writes it, and the story unfolding before her very eyes.

“When I read this early draft manuscript I felt it was the most incredible and original spy franchise since Ian Fleming’s books of the 50s,” Vaughn himself said, “This is going to reinvent the spy genre.”

Argylle is set to release in theaters on February 2nd, 2024, followed by a release to Apple TV+. Check out the trailer below.
