New Trailer for ‘The Craft: Legacy’ Is Unleashed

September is almost over which means a new season of Halloween movies is about to start. To kick off the beginning of October, Sony has released a trailer for the upcoming movie witchy movie The Craft: LegacyAs the title suggest this movie is a sequel to the 1996 movie, The Craft.

The Craft is a cult classic teen horror movie about a teenage girl named Sarah who moves to a new town with her family. At her new preppy school Sarah meets three outcast girls who practice witch craft. Sarah joins them and together the girls form a coven of witches, but soon the witches desire for powers leads them into trouble.

Based on what was shown in this new trailer it looks like The Craft: Legacy will be following a similar plot to the original. This movie will follow the story of Lily, played by Cailee Spaeny, who moves to a different town when her mother remarries. Lily not only gains a new stepfather and three stepbrothers, but she also must attend a new school where she meets three girls played by Gideon Adlon, Zoey Luna, and Lovie Simone. The four girls quickly become friends and form the newest coven of witches. The trailer also shows that the famous line, “We are the weirdos mister,” from the original movie will be appearing in this movie.

According to The New York Post and Entertainment Weekly this new movie is not a remake but a sequel that takes place years after the events of the original movie. Zoe Lister-Jones is the writer and director of this new movie. Blumhouse is the production company behind the film, and Sony will be in charge of distributing it.
