Actor Ryan Reynolds has given the world a sneak peak look into Detective Pikachu. As a sendoff for the year 2018, Reynolds posted a picture of himself doing the motion capture for the film’s titular character to Instagram. The picture gives an up close look at the Pokemon, which reveals just how detailed the Pikachu looks. Unlike the recent Sonic poster, this photo is receiving positive reception from Pokemon fans.
The film Detective Pikachu is a Warner Bros film that was written by Nicole Perlman and Rob Letterman, who is also the director. The film also stars Justice Smith.
The film is set to release on May 10, 2019.
