New Indigenous Thriller ‘Cold Road’ By Kelvin Redvers Picked Up By LevelFilm

LevelFilm has picked up Cold Road, an Indigenous thriller by Dene filmmaker Kelvin Redvers. Cold Road is Redver’s debut feature and is produced by IndigiFilm Media.

The film stars Roseanne Supernault on a remote frozen highway in the Canadian North, where a stranger in a semi-truck is hunting Supernault’s character, Tracy, and her dog, Pretzel. Once Tracy realizes what is going on, it is too late for her to turn back, and she must fight for her life as the chilly night falls upon them. Check out the trailer below!

Cold Road reacts to Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon and its content, as Redvers says in the following statement: “Cold Road is the answer to so many of the questions raised in the wake of Flower Moon. This is a film produced, written, and directed by an Indigenous director, with Indigenous leads, about an Indigenous story — and it was made for a mainstream audience.”

Redvers’ film was shot in the remote Northwest Territories of Canada, and Telefilm Canada and Bell Media are financers of the film. Cold Road was written, directed, and produced by Redvers alongside Gianna Isabella,  Matt Watterworth, and executive producers Scott Lepp and Mark Miller.
