New ‘Birds of Prey’ Teaser Debuts at The Game Awards 2019

At the Game Awards in Los Angeles, Margot Robbie in character as Harley Quinn made surprise video appearance introducing a new teaser for the upcoming Birds of Prey. Though only about 30 seconds long, the trailer is packed with new footage that has not been seen until now.

This trailer gives us more of a look into just how whimsical this film will be. With vivid colored lighting and surreal costumes, it is clear where it is taking hints from Suicide Squad and then running with them even further. There’s also some interesting set pieces we haven’t seen before, with a few of them containing massive hand sculptures, and one that looks like a massive abandoned theme park.

Much of the clip is little action packed snippets, hinting at what’s to come. We see each member of the team fighting off their enemies with a variety of weapons. And we also see some of the team dynamic with a bit of comedic tension between Jurnee Smollett-Bell’s Black Canary and Mary Elizabeth Winstead’s Huntress.

Though this teaser may not have revealed any new plot information, it definitely showcases some stunning visuals. We’ll be seeing the final product very soon, as Birds of Prey hits theaters on February 7.
