Children are extremely common characters in horror films, but are also pretty common characters in comedy films. Little Evil, a new film by Netflix, will attempt to blend these three factors, as seen in this goofy trailer.
The story focuses around Gary, a fairly normal man who has just married the love of his life, Samantha. Samantha’s son, however, has always been very weird around Gary, causing Gary to learn more about his stepson. Our main guy discovers that his son just might be the antichrist, and the film follows his struggle of having to deal with it.
Evangeline Lilly (Ant-Man, The Hurt Locker) and Adam Scott (Parks and Recreation, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty) play Samantha and Gary respectively, and have solid supporting cast including Bridget Everett (Patti Cake$, Trainwreck), Clancy Brown (The Shawshank Redemption, Spongebob Squarepants), Tyler Labine (Tucker and Dale vs Evil, Rise of the Planet of the Apes), Donald Faison (Scrubs, Remember the Titans), and Chris D’Elia (Undateable, Whitney).
The film is written and directed by Eli Craig, the director behind Tucker and Dale vs Evil and the comedy zombie hit Zombieland. The official release date for the film on Netflix is September 1.
